The Golden Circle tour with Gray Line

On our second day in Iceland, Wednesday, the lovely staff at Gray Line were kind enough to invite us to join the afternoon tour to the Golden Circle. The six-hour tour consisted of several of the main sights around Southwestern Iceland, including Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir fountains and hot springs. A complimentary shuttle pick-up service was also included.

Our tour guide was Mr. Bjarni and the cool bus driver Mr. Gunni. I don’t have much experience of these kinds of guided tours, but I definitely enjoyed this one! Bjarni had a heap of fun and interesting facts to share and he was very relaxed and professional. Even the longer transitions felt very enjoyable, thanks to our guide’s amusing stories (and the magnificent views).

Gray Line also provided us with transport to (and from) the airport, which was invaluable to us since we have quite a few heavy bags (13 bags for 6 people…) with us for the summer! Thank you!
